R. Shroff Foundation launched the Anemia Project in residential ashram schools of Poshi\u00adna and Khedbrahma blocks in Sabarkantha district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 As part of the various initiatives run by Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation, Vadali, a new experiment was undertaken to maintain the health of children in remote villages and prevent iron deficiency. Under the Anemia Project, hemoglobin testing was conducted for the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 In support of the \u201cAnemia Mukt Bharat\u201d initiative, Virenbhai and his team from Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital &amp; Research Centre conducted a training session on 13th and 14th November 2024 for 30 teacher-facilitators of Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation. The training focused on how to conduct hemoglobin tests and how to make online data entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Under this project, guided by Mr. Rahulbhai and Ms. Rajulben from Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation, 18 teachers conducted hemoglobin testing for 1,248 children across 7 residential ashram schools in Poshi\u00adna and Khedbrahma blocks of Sabarkantha district. All children were given Albendazole (deworming) tablets. Out of 1,248 children, 414 were found to be anemic. These 414 children were educated about anemia and given \u201cTake One Today\u201d tablets, which are to be taken once daily after meals. The responsibility for ensuring daily tablet intake was assigned to the housemothers of each residential school. Additionally, team leaders from Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation also took on this responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The anemic children (414 in total) are required to take the \u201cTake One Today\u201d tablet for three months. They are also provided with appropriate nutrition from the school during this period. After three months, their hemoglobin levels will be rechecked. The children will continue receiving the tablets until their hemoglobin level reaches above
