There is an old saying: \u201cIf you want a child to run fast, run behind him \u2014 but if you want him to run far, run with him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\nSomething very similar happened when Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Hospital, Dharampur, and Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation came together with one shared purpose \u2014 to combat anaemia among children in government schools of Sabarkantha and Aravalli.<\/p>\n

This initiative began in the academic year 2024\u201325.<\/p>\n

Under the guidance of Virenbhai and the team from Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, 30 teachers from the Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation were trained. Testing kits, strips, and a digital portal to maintain each child\u2019s health record were also provided.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A team of 18 teachers from the foundation visited seven Ashram schools in Posina and Khedbrahma, where they conducted haemoglobin tests for 1,248 children.
\nSimilarly, in 118 schools of Bhiloda and Meghraj, with the support of Chief District Health Officer Dr. Jayeshbhai Parmar, Meghraj THO Dr. Aquins Anandray Balat, and Bhiloda THO Dr. Vimal Kharadi, haemoglobin tests were carried out for 10,252 children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n<\/p>\n

The children were explained about anaemia in simple, child-friendly language.
\nEnsuring that every child takes their medicine regularly became the shared responsibility of the teachers, the school authorities, and the KRSF field team.<\/p>\n

Three months from now, their haemoglobin levels will be tested again.
\nUntil each child reaches a healthy level, this treatment will continue without interruption.
\nThis is not a one-time activity \u2014 it is a long-term social commitment.<\/p>\n

Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Hospital and Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation are working with complete dedication to bring a new dawn of health and hope into the lives of these children \u2014 so their future can be strong, bright, and truly healthy.<\/p>\n
