“I want to become a teacher.” Jagurti, studying in the seventh standard, disclosed her dream.
”Why teacher?”
‘My mother was a teacher’.
After hearing that, I realized that Jagruti’s mother was no more. After her mother’s death, her father
remarried. Although the new mother also takes care of Jagruti, the memories of her mother are still
intact in Jagruti’s mind. She has decided to become a teacher, just like her mother!
Jagruti’s father has small farming. As also, not everyone in the tribal area has a huge piece of land. Also,
since there is no much water in a small piece of land, the father has to migrate to the city for work.
Jagruti is bright in learning. Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation conducts the scholarship program and if she gets the scholarship, her education would be guaranteed and the family would also get financial

With this aim, our Foundation teacher Chetanaben, who is placed in the Teblaa primary school of
Sabarkantha, worked hard to have Jagruti pass the scholarship exam.
Where the economic condition is poor, families educate their children to a certain extent. Once they are helpless and tired, they ask their children to give up their studies and make the children work. But if such children get a monthly support of 1000 per month, the parents would not give up their children’s education because of the temptation of the scholarship. This is the purpose of our Scholarship program.
So far Foundation has given monthly scholarships to 162 children. Every child should pass the yearly
examination conducted by the foundation for this scholarship to continue year after year. This is how a child is tempted to study diligently and reach a desired destination.
Chetnaben prepared Jagurti well and she passed exam. Now she gets scholarship regularly. Jagurti’s new mother and dad are all happy with her. They wish that their daughter may study well and fulfill her
mother’s dream.
Chetnaben worked hard for Jagruti. She says, ”The fundamental principle of the foundation is ‘child
first’. If you think only of child’s welfare, then why to fall back? I am happy to see Jagruti’s progress!”

વાસ્તવિકતાનું સ્વપ્ન: જ્યારે બાળકનું રોલ મોડેલ તેની પોતાની માતા હોય, ત્યારે તેને કોઈ રોકી શકતું નથી.

‘મારે શિક્ષક બનવું છે…’ સાતમાં ધોરણમાં ભણતી જાગૃતિએ પોતાનું સ્વપ્ન કહ્યું.
‘કેમ શિક્ષક?’
‘મારી મા શિક્ષક હતી.’
આ સાંભળી જાગૃતિની મા ન હોવાનો ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. મા મૃત્યુ પામી પછી પિતાએ બીજા લગ્ન કર્યા. નવી મા પણ જાગૃતિનું ધ્યાન રાખે છતાં પોતાની મા સાથેના સંસ્મરણો જાગૃતિના મનમાં અકબંધ એટલે માની જેમ શિક્ષક બનવાનું એણે નક્કી કર્યું.
જાગૃતિના પિતા નાનકડી ખેતી કરે. આમ પણ આદિવાસી વિસ્તારમાં દરેક પાસે કાંઈ મસમોટી જમીન ન હોય. વળી નાની જમીનમાંય પાણી ન હોય એટલે પિતા કામ ધંધા માટે શહેરમાં સ્થળાંતર કરે.
જાગૃતિ ભણવામાં હોંશિયાર. એને ડો.કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશન સ્કોરશીપ પ્રોગ્રામ ચલાવે તે સ્કોરશીપ મળી જાય તો એના ભણતરનું રક્ષણ થાય ને પરિવારને પણ ટેકો થાય. આ આશયથી ફાઉન્ડેશનના સાબરકાંઠાની ટેબલા પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં મુકાયેલા અમારા શિક્ષક ચેતનાબહેને જાગૃતિને સ્કોરશીપ પરીક્ષા પાસ કરાવવા મહેનત આદરી.

આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી હોય ત્યાં પરિવારો બાળકોને એક હદ સુધી ભણાવે પણ થાકે ત્યારે ભણતર છોડાવી બાળકોને કામે લગાડી દે.પણ આવા બાળકોને સ્કોરશીપ એટલે માસીક 1000નો ટેકો મળતો થાય તો મા- બાપ સ્કોરશીપની લાલચે પણ બાળકોનું ભણતર ન છોડાવે. આ અમારા સ્કોરશીપ કાર્યક્રમનો હેતુ.
ફાઉન્ડેશન થકી અત્યાર સુધી 162 બાળકોને માસીક સ્કોલરશીપ આપવામાં આવી છે. વળી આ સ્કોલરશીપ વર્ષો વર્ષ ચાલુ રહે તે માટે દરેક બાળકે ફાઉન્ડેશન દ્વારા લેવાતી પરીક્ષા દર વર્ષે પાસ કરવાની. આમ બાળક લગન સાથે ભણે ને એક મુકામ પર પહોંચે.
જાગૃતિને ચેતનાબહેને તૈયારી કરાવી ને એ પાસ થઈ. હવે નિયમીત એને સ્કોરશીપ મળે. જાગૃતિની નવી મા અને પિતા બધા જ એનાથી રાજી છે. એમની ઈચ્છા પોતાની દીકરી ખુબ ભણે ને એની માતાનું સ્વપ્ન પૂર્ણ કરે તેવી.
ચેતનાબહેને જાગૃતિ પાછળ ઘણી મહેનત કરી. એ કહે, ‘ફાઉન્ડેશનનું મુખ્યસુત્ર પ્રથમ બાળક. એના કલ્યાણ માટે જ વિચારવાનું છે તો પછી પાછી કેમ પડું. જાગૃતિની પ્રગતિ જોઈને હું ખુશ છું.’
આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ જાગૃતિ જેવા બાળકો તેમજ ચેતના બહેન જેવા શિક્ષકો વધારે પ્રોત્સાહીત થાય તે માટે ખાસ તેમના ઘરે જાય, તેમને મળે જેથી તેમને પણ પ્રોત્સાહન મળે..

KRSF foundation filling the gape of teachers
Education is necessary for molding life. KRSF believes this to be true. Even so, only today’s children will contribute in shaping the future of our country. Hence, it is very important that these children are very well developed. We place teachers in government and trust-run schools in Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Aravalli, Narmada and Botad districts wherever there is shortage of teachers. Going one step further, we have started filling in the shortage of teachers to the educational institutions operating in South Gujarat too, so that the future of the children does not suffer. Our Pratulbhai Shroff, founder trustee of KRSF and Udaybhai Desai, President of KRSF, both believe that the utmost attention with care should be given in the development of children. We strongly believe that maximum provision should be made for basic education even in the government budget and we constantly strive to work with the government and do better.
With this philosophy in mind, we try to do whatever we can.
You should also work to ease these needs and fill in shortages in the field of education in your area.

શિક્ષણનું સશક્તિકરણ: NGOની પહેલ વડે ગુજરાતના વિવિધ ભાગોમાં શિક્ષકોની ઉણપને પૂરી કરવી.

જીવન ઘડતર માટે શિક્ષણ જરૃરી. KRSF આ વાતને બરાબર માને. આમ પણ દેશનું ભાવી ઘડવામાં આજના બાળકો જ તરુણ થઈને યોગદાન આપવાના. ત્યારે આ બાળકોનું ઘડતર ઉત્તમ થાય એ ખુબ જરૃરી. અમે સાબરકાંઠા, ગાંધીનગર, અમદાવાદ, બનાસકાંઠા, અરવલ્લી, નર્મદા અને બોટાદ જિલ્લામાં સરકારી, ટ્રસ્ટ સંચાલિત નિશાળો કે જ્યાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટ હોય ત્યાં શિક્ષકો મુકીએ. હવે એક સ્ટેપ આગળ દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં કાર્યરત શૈક્ષણિક સંસ્થાઓને શિક્ષકોની ઘટની પૂર્તી કરી આપીએ, જેથી બાળકોનું ભાવી ન બગડે.

Takatuka, a wonderful village. Even more amazing is its primary school. Like the name “Takatuka”, the school also stands “Takatak” (outstanding) in terms of education in the entire Aravalli district.

In year 2012, we – the KRSF gap-filled the teachers in this school. In the beginning, our teachers made the students well conversant. Simultaneously, our teachers also prepared students to take various competitive exams to qualify for the government scholarships. The other school teachers also cooperated. When Bipinbhai Patel came as principal in 2015, our efforts got momentum in preparing the children the way we wanted.

In 2015, 168 children were studying in this primary school. There was also a trend of great proportion of children going to private schools from the village. Together with the principal, we held a meeting with the villagers and encouraged them to send the children to a government school for only a year. If the parents see no progress, the principal himself promised to issue the School Leaving Certificates. The parents put their faith in us and enrolled their children in the school. Since then, we worked hard as a team. Today, 268 children are studying in this Primary School and not a single student/parent want to go in the private school. The students of this school are preparing for various competitive exams – like Gnanasetu, Gnanasadhana, NMMS, Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance – conducted by the government. The children have started securing higher ranks in the entire district.

Sangeetaben, the current deputed KRSF teacher, has found a comfortable place with other schoolteachers. The school and the village also hold a special place in the heart of Shri Pratulbhai Shroff. Like conscious parents of the village and concerned School team of Shri Bipinbhai Patel – the Principal, the day would surely come when there will be no complaints against the Government Primary School.

Pratulbhai specially met all the teachers and parents of Takatuka School. He applauded everyone for their endeavors and promised to stand with them wherever and whenever needed. We hope that each and every Government school follow of the example of Takatuka Primary School.

ટાકાટુકા મજાનું ગામ ને એથીયે મજાની ગામની પ્રાથમિકશાળા. આમ તો આખા અરવલ્લી જિલ્લામાં શિક્ષણ બાબતે ટાકાટુકાગામના નામની જેમ શાળા પણ ટકાટક.

2012માં આ શાળામાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટની પૂર્તી કરવાનું કામ અમે એટલે કે KRSF એ કર્યું. અમારા શિક્ષકે સૌ પ્રથમ વાંચતા લખતા ન આવડે તે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને એકદમ પાવરધા કરવાનું કર્યું. સાથે સરકાર દ્વારા વિદ્યાર્થીને સ્કોલરશીપ મળે તે માટે લેવાતી વિવિધ પરિક્ષાઓની તૈયારી કરાવવાનું પણ કર્યું. શાળાના શિક્ષકોનો પણ આ કાર્યમાં ખુબ સહયોગ.

પણ 2015માં આચાર્ય તરીકે બીપીનભાઈ પટેલ આવ્યા ને અમારે બાળકોને જે રીતે તૈયાર કરવા હતા તે તૈયારીમાં અમને ગતિ મળી.

2015માં 168 બાળકો પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણતા. ગામમાંથી ખાનગી શાળામાં બાળકોનું જવાનું પ્રમાણ પણ હતું. આચાર્ય સાથે મળીને ગામલોકો સાથે બેઠક કરી બાળકોને એક વર્ષ માટે સરકારી શાળામાં આપવા કહ્યું. જો પરિણામ ન મળે તો આચાર્ય શ્રીએ સામેથી શાળા છોડ્યાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર આપવા કહ્યું. વાલીઓેએ અમારા સૌ પર શ્રદ્ધા રાખી બાળકોને શાળામાં ફેર દાખલ કર્યા. એ પછી અમે ટીમ તરીકે મહેનત કરી. આજે 268 બાળકો પ્રાથમિકશાળામાં ભણે છે.

ગામનું એક પણ બાળક ખાનગીશાળામાં જતું નથી. આ શાળાના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અત્યારથી સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરિક્ષાની તૈયારી કરતા હોય એ રીતે સરકાર દ્વારા લેવાતી બાળકોને સ્કોલરશીપ મળે તે માટેની વિવિધ પરિક્ષાઓ જેવી કે, જ્ઞાનસેતુ, જ્ઞાનસાધના, NMMS, નવોદય વિદ્યાલયની પરીક્ષા સમગ્ર જિલ્લામાં અવલ્લ આવવા માંડ્યા છે.
ફાઉન્ડેશનના શિક્ષીકા સંગીતાબેન દૂધમાં સાકર ભળે એ રીતે શાળાના શિક્ષકો સાથે ભળી ગયા છે.

આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફને પણ આ શાળા અને ગામના જાગૃત નાગરિકો ખુબ ગમે. દરેક ગામમાં વાલીઓ જાગૃત થાય, બીપનભાઈ જેવા આચાર્ય મળી જાય તો પ્રાથમિકશાળાઓ પ્રત્યે લોકોને જે ફરિયાદ છે તે ફરિયાદ મટી જાય એ નક્કી.

પ્રતુલભાઈએ ખાસ ટાકાટુકાશાળાના તમામ શિક્ષક અને વાલીઓને મળ્યા. સૌને તેમની પ્રવૃતિ માટે બીરદાવ્યા ને જ્યાં જરૃર પડે ત્યાં સાથે હોવાનું કહ્યું. બસ ટાકાટુકા જેવી દરેક શાળા થાય તેવું ઈચ્છીએ…

Though there were Children of eligible age for school, there was no school in the village. However, because parents realize the significance of education, they send their children across the river to the neighboring village to study. But they constantly feel that if they have school in the village, children would not have to risk crossing the river. The story is of Patavalli village in Narmada district. A few years ago, Padiyabhai of the village was very conscious about this and so he requested the Collector for the approval of a school in the village. Later the school was approved. But it might take years to build the building. The joint family of Padiyabhai and his brothers lived in one house and the front foyer of the house was very large. This foyer served as school for 30 children until a school building was built.

There are currently 105 children studying in the school. Kamleshbhai is from this family who provided their house to run the school. He did his M.A. in Education and joined us five years ago to work as a teacher in a government school wherever there is a shortage of teachers. The family has contributed a lot to light the flame of education and his devotion to duty is also mountainous. As also, Kamleshbhai wanted to join education activity and foundation provided an opportunity to fulfill his wishes.

Pratulbhai Shroff, the founder of our foundation, heard about the family’s spirit of giving up something for the education, though living with limited resources. He went to this family’s home and applauded their spirit. The family served him with spiced delicious tea. Kamleshbhai also sang a devotional “bhajan”.

Such families are the true torchbearers of Indian culture… and in turn we also feel proud to have Kamleshbhai with us…

ગામમાં નિશાળમાં જઈ શકે તે ઉંમરના બાળકો ખરા પણ ગામમાં નિશાળ નહીં. મા-બાપ શિક્ષણના મહત્વને સમજે એટલે બાજુના ગામમાં નદી પાર કરીને બાળકોને ભણવા મોકલે. પણ મનમાં સતત પોતાના ગામમાં નિશાળ થાય તો નદી પાર કરવાનું જોખમ ન વહોરવું પડે એવું થાય.

વાત છે નર્મદા જિલ્લાના પાટવલ્લીગામની. થોડા વર્ષો પહેલાં ગામના જાગૃત પાડિયાભાઈએ ગામમાં શાળાની મંજૂરી માટે કલેક્ટર શ્રીને વિનંતી કરી ને શાળાની મંજૂરી મળી ગઈ. પણ મકાન બંધાતા વરસ લાગે એમ હતું. પાડિયાભાઈ અને એમના ભાઈઓનો સંયુક્ત પરિવાર એક ઘરમાં રહે એ ઘરની ઓસરી ઘણી મોટી. આ ઓસરીમાં 30 બાળકોની નિશાળ જ્યાં સુધી શાળાનું મકાન ન બન્યું ત્યાં સુધી ચાલી. પછી શાળાનું મકાન બન્યું.
આજે શાળામાં 105 બાળકો ભણે છે. જેમણે પોતાનું ઘર શાળા ચલાવવા આપ્યું તે પરિવારમાંથી કમલેશભાઈ M.B.ed થયા ને અમારી સાથે સરકારી શાળાઓમાં જ્યાં શિક્ષકની ઘટ હોય તેવી શાળામાં શિક્ષક તરીકે કામ કરવા પાંચ વર્ષ પહેલાં જોડાયા. તેમની કર્તવ્ય નિષ્ઠા જબરી. પરિવારે શિક્ષણની જ્યોત પ્રગટાવવા પોતાનું યોગદાન આપેલું. એટલે કમલેશભાઈને પણ આ કાર્યમાં જ જોડાવું હતું ને ફાઉન્ડેશનના માધ્યમથી એમનો મનોરથ પૂર્ણ થયો.

મર્યાદીત સંસાધનો સાથે જીવતા પરિવારની શિક્ષણ માટે કાંઈક કરી છુટવાની ભાવના વિષે અમારા ફાઉન્ડેશનના સ્થાપક પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફે સાંભળેલું તે ખાસ આ પરિવારના ઘરે ગયા. તેમની ભાવનાને બિરદાવી. પરિવારે મજાની ચા પીવડાવી સાથે કમલેશભાઈએ સરસ ભજન પણ સંભળાવ્યું.

ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિના આવા પરિવારો સાચા વાહકો… અને કમલેશભાઈ અમારી સાથે હોવાનું ગૌરવ…

Mathasar is village situated on the outskirts of Dediapada taluka of Narmada district. Small village has a very meager population. 45 children study in 1st to 5th grade government school. Total 5 classes but the number of students is far less. There was only one teacher. He could not do justice to all children even if he wanted to. Also, not all children liked to study. So, many children remained absent continuously.
All these details came to the notice of Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation. It arranged to place a supplementary teacher. Foundation found Bharjibhai, an inquisitive educated man from the village who did not want to leave the village and was unemployed after his studies. Foundation trained him and placed him as a supplementary teacher in this school. Bharjibhai first noticed the absence of children from school and started going to their homes. He says, ”In the beginning when I used to go to children’s homes, the boys would run away seeing me. I used to run after them like a deer. I would catch them and talk to them. I would explain to come to school. Once they would come to school, I used to play games and keep their minds engaged in studies. Mid-day meal was also arranged on a regular basis and everyone in the village cooperated in it.” School is beautiful but there was no fence around it. Bharjibhai himself built a wooden fence around the school. He started teaching the children in the way they like. As a result, the absenteeism of the children reduced. The government teacher was also relieved from being overburdened. He was able to concentrate more on the children.

Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation recruits the educated unemployed persons of the village as teachers,
especially those who have the spirit of living in the village and are ready to contribute to the development of the village. The results of government schools also improved where the foundation placed its teachers. Education is the foundation and the organization is working in this direction because education can change a person’s life.

પ્રખર અને સમર્પિત શિક્ષક, ભરજીભાઈનું સાચું ઉદાહરણ

નર્મદા જિલ્લાના દેડીયાપાડાતાલુકાનું છેવા઼ડે આવેલું ગામા એટલે માથાસર.
નાનકડુ ગામ. વસતિ પણ ઝાઝી નહીં. 1 થી 5 ધો.ની સરકારી શાળા જેમાં 45 બાળકો ભણે. ધોરણ જુદા જુદા પણ સંખ્યા ઓછી એટલે શિક્ષક પણ એક જ. શિક્ષક બિચારા ઈચ્છે તો પણ બધા બાળકોને ન્યાય ન આપી શકે. વળી ભણવું બધા બાળકોને ગમે નહીં. એટલે ઘણા બાળકો સતત ગેરહાજર રહે.
આ બધી વિગત ડો.કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશનના ધ્યાને આવી. એમણે પૂરક શિક્ષક મુકવાની ગોઠવણ કરી. એમણે ગામના જ એક જીજ્ઞાસુ ભણેલા ને સૌથી અગત્યનું જેમને ગામ છોડવું નહોતુ અને ભણ્યા પછી બેકાર એવા ભારજીભાઈને શોધી કાઢ્યા ને એમને તાલીમ આપી આ શાળામાં પૂરક શિક્ષક તરીકે મુક્યા.
ભારજીભાઈએ પ્રથમ શાળામાં ગેરહાજર બાળકોની નોંધ લીધી અને એમના ઘરે જવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. એ કહે, ‘હું શરૃઆતમાં બાળકોના ઘરે જતો તો છોકરાં મને જોઈને ભાગી જતા. હું પણ હરણાની જેમ એમની પાછળ દોડતો. એમને પકડતો પછી વાતો કરતો. નિશાળમાં આવવા સમજાવતો. નિશાળમાં આવે પછી રમતો રમાડી એમનું મન ભણવામાં પરોવાય એવું કરતો. મધ્યાનભોજન પણ નિયમીત કરાવ્યું ને એમાં ગામના સૌને જોડ્યા.’
શાળા સુંદર પણ એની ફરતે વાડ નહીં. ભારજીભાઈએ પોતે લાકડાથી શાળા ફરતે વાડ કરી. બાળકોને ગમે એવી રીતે એમણે ભણાવવાનું શરૃ કર્યું પરિણામે બાળકોની ગેરહાજરી ઓછી થઈ ગઈ.
સરકારી શિક્ષકને પણ ભારજીભાઈ આવવાથી ઘણી રાહત થઈ એ ચોક્કસ ધોરણના બાળકો પર વધારે ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રીત કરી શક્યા..
ડો.કે.આર. શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશનગામના ભણેલા બેરોજગાર અને ખાસ જેમને ગામમાં રહેવાની ભાવના છે અને ગામના વિકાસમાં પોતાની હીસ્સેદારી નોંધાવવાની તૈયારી છે તેવા વ્યક્તિઓને શિક્ષક તરીકે ભરતી કરે. સરકારીશાળાઓના પરિણામો પણ જ્યાં ફાઉન્ડેશને પોતાના શિક્ષકો મૂક્યા ત્યાં બદલાયા. શિક્ષણ પાયો છે. એનાથી માણસની જિંદગી બદલાઈ શકે એટલે સંસ્થા આ દિશામાં કાર્યરત છે..

Not only Shivani was irregular in school, she was also not much interested in studying. Seeing that one child from the whole class is not much interested in learning, teachers first try a little to improvise but if the effort does not succeed much, they stop to follow it up.
In Shivani’s case, teacher Harshidaben could have put the efforts away. But the ethics of the organization, because of which she was teaching children in Jaalampur school of Meghraj in Sabarkantha stopped her from quitting. KRSF works to meet the shortage of teachers in government schools. Harshidaben was also placed in Jaalampur school to fill the gap. Seeing Shivani’s absence and indifference towards education, she went to Shivani’s home.

The financial condition of the family was in a state of despair. Parents do very hard menial labor. This
situation prevented her parents to pay even a little attention to Shivani. Harshidaben embodied the
organization’s motto, ”Child First” in her work style. She tried to get Shivani to attend school regularly.
Then she started preparing her for the exam so that Shivani could get a scholarship given by the foundation to economically weaker children every month. Shivani also liked the idea that the teacher herself took interest in her development. She passed the exam and started getting monthly scholarship from the foundation. Harshidaben told Shivani’s parents that if they wanted this scholarship to continue, Shivani would have to pass the exam conducted by the foundation every three months and they would
have to see that she worked hard for that.

This was the financial support to the family in the form scholarship. This encouraged parents to pay
attention to Shivani. Harshidaben was, of course, there with them. With shared effort, Shivani now
performs at the top of her class. She intends to study further and make a good progress. Shivani’s
parents also now share this dream.
Our intention behind giving scholarship is to bounce back the bright children, who were indifferent towards education, to study with mindful aptitude. Our purpose appears to bear fruits after seeing more than 150 children like Shivani getting the help through scholarship…

શિક્ષકની ખુશીની ક્ષણ જ્યારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓની અનિયમિતતાનો અંત આવે અને તેઓ નિયમિતપણે વર્ગમાં આવવાનું શરૂ કરે
શિવાની નિશાળમાં અનિયમીત. ભણવામાં પણ ઝાઝી રૃચી નહીં. સામાન્ય રીતે આખા વર્ગમાંથી એક બાળકને ભણવામાં રૃચી ન હોવાનું જોઈને મોટાભાગે શિક્ષકો થોડો પ્રયત્ન કરે પણ એ પ્રયત્નમાં સફળતા ન મળે તો મુકી દે.. શિવાનીના કિસ્સામાં પણ શિક્ષીકા હર્ષિદાબહેન એને મુકી દેવાનું કરી શક્યા હોત. પણ એમનું મન એ જે સંસ્થા વતી સાબરકાંઠાના મેઘરજના જાલમપુર નિશાળમાં બાળકોને ભણાવતા તે સંસ્થાના સંસ્કારે એમને એમ કરતા રોક્યા.

KRSF સરકારીશાળાઓમાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટની પૂર્તીનું કામ કરે. હર્ષિદાબેન પણ એ ઘટપૂર્તીના ભાગરૃપે જ જાલમપુરની નિશાળમાં મુકાયા. શિવાનીની ગેરહાજરી શિક્ષણ પ્રત્યે ઉદાસીનતા જોઈને એ શિવાનીના ઘરે ગયા. ઘરની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ એક સાંધતા તેર તુટે એવી. મા-બાપ કાળી મજૂરી કરે. શિવાની પ્રત્યે એમનું ખાસ ધ્યાન પણ નહીં.
હર્ષિદાબહેને સંસ્થાનું સૂત્ર બાળક પ્રથમ એને બરાબર પોતાની કાર્યશૈલીમાં ઉતારેલું. એમણે શિવાનીને નિયમીત શાળામાં લાવવાનો પ્રયત્ન અને એ પછી ફાઉન્ડેશન દ્વારા આર્થિક રીતે નબળા બાળકોને દર મહિને સ્કોરશીપ આપવામાં આવે તે સ્કોલરશીપ શિવાનીને મળે તે માટે પરિક્ષાની તૈયારી કરાવવાનું શરૃ કર્યું.
શિવાનીને પણ શિક્ષિકા એનામાં રસ લે એટલે મજા પડી. એ પરિક્ષામાં પાસ થઈ અને સંસ્થા દ્વારા એને માસીક સ્કોલરશીપ મળવાની શરૃ થઈ. હવે હર્ષિદાબહેને શિવાનીના માતા પિતાને આ સ્કોલરશીપ કાયમ જોઈતી હોય તો શિવાનીએ દર ત્રણ મહિને સંસ્થા દ્વારા લેવાતી પરિક્ષા પાસ કરવી પડશે અને એ માટે એમને મહેતન કરાવવી પડશેનું કહ્યું.
સ્કોલરશીપ રૃપે ઘરમાં ટેકો થઈ રહ્યો હતો. એટલે મા-બાપે પણ શિવાની પર ધ્યાન આપવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. જ્યારે હર્ષિદાબહેન તો સાથે હતા જ. સહિયારી પ્રયાસથી શિવાની હવે એના વર્ગમાં અવ્વલ નંબરે પાસ થાય છે. એને ભણીને ખુબ આગળ વધવું છે. વળી આ સ્વપ્ન શિવાનીના મા-બાપ પણ સેવવા માંડ્યા.
સ્કોરશીપ આપવા પાછળનો અમારો આશય પણ શિક્ષણ પ્રત્યે ઉદાસીન થયેલા હોંશિયાર બાળકોને પાછા મન લગાવીને ભણતા કરવાનો.. અમારો આશય શિવાની જેવા 150 થી વધુ બાળકો સ્કોલરશીપની મદદ મેળવતા જોઈને બર આવ્યો હોય એમ લાગે.

Jethipura is a cheerful village of Sabarkantha and more cheerful is its primary school. The school flourished under the guidance of Acharya (principal) Vijaybhai. School teachers are very noble. Shaping the future of children is a constant endeavor. The teachers’ vacancy in the school was filled by KRSF by placing Kinjalben.
Kinjalben takes life class in school. Life class signifies shaping a cultured life along with education. KRSF has developed different modules of life class. There are topics about instilling confidence in children to cultivating cultural values. Some of the students from our Kinjalben’s life class met our Pratulbhai. We felt worthwhile to conduct life classes after listening to these kids’ narratives.
When Nusrat, studying in school, broke something in the house and if there was no one around, she
would lie that she did not break it. We know that not only kids but adults have the same attitude. But
Kinjalben had taught everyone in class not to lie. Later, it happened that Nusrat broke something in
house. She picked up broken pieces together and told her mother that she broke it. Nusrat was afraid
that mother would start scolding her, but, on the contrary, her mother praised her for telling the truth.

A similar case happened with Akhlaq. He had a bad habit of eating tobacco. A topic of choice between
good and evil is taught in class. Realizing this lesson, he quit tobacco and came to class, admitted and said that tobacco was not the right choice. Tamannaa had habit of exaggerating things. Once this habit led to a big fight in the house. She realized her mistake and left that habit. Some said they got over their fear of ghosts by watching the film Makadi in class.
Hearing all these things from children’s mouth reminded us that Gandhiji always stressed on proper upbringing. We also focus on cultured upbringing. Somehow or other, kids are going to find a way to get education. They will become a doctor or an engineer but that education is of no use if they do not
become a good citizen of the country. That is why KRSF emphasizes much on life class.
Currently 50,000 children are being taught by the foundation. We are proud of this achievement and
likewise we aspire to reach many more children in future.

”ધ લાઇફ ક્લાસ”: વિદ્યાર્થીઓને જીવનના પાઠ આપતા શિક્ષક
સાબરકાંઠાનું જેઠીપુરા મજાનું ગામ ને એથીયે મજાનીગામની પ્રાથમીકશાળા. આચાર્ય વિજયભાઈની નિશ્રામાં શાળા ફળીફુલી. શાળાના શિક્ષકો ઉમદા. બાળકોનું ભાવિ ઘડવા એ સતત મથ્યા કરે. શાળામાં શિક્ષકોની ઘટની પૂર્તી KRSF એ કિંજલબેનને મુકીને કરી.
કિંજલબેન શાળામાં લાઈફ ક્લાસ લે. લાઈફ ક્લાસ એટલે ભણતરની સાથે જરૃરી ઘડતર કરવાનું કામ..
KRSF એ લાઈફ ક્લાસના અલગ અલગ મોડ્યુઅલ ડેવલોપ કર્યા. જેમાં બાળકોમાં આત્મવિશ્વાસ જગાવવાની વાતથી લઈને સંસ્કાર સિંચનની વાતો કરવામાં આવે. અમારા કિંજલબેને લીધેલા લાઈફ ક્લાસના વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાંથી કેટલાક વિદ્યાર્થીઓને અમારા પ્રતુલભાઈ મળ્યાને બાળકોએ જે વાતો કરી તે સાંભળીને અમને લાફઈ ક્લાસ કર્યાનું લેખે લાગ્યું.
શાળામાં ભણતી નુસરતના હાથે ઘરમાં કોઈ વસ્તુ તુટી ફુટી જાય ને આસપાસમાં એ દરમ્યાન કોઈ હોય નહીં તો એ આરામથી પોતે નથી તોડ્યું એવું જુઠ્ઠુ બોલી જતી. બાળકો શું મોટાઓનું પણ આવું જ વર્તન હોય. પણ કિંજલબેને વર્ગમાં જુઠ્ઠુ ન બોલવાની શીખ આપેલી તે એ પછી નુસરતના હાથે તુટેલી વસ્તુને લઈને એણે એની મમ્મીને પોતાનાથી વસ્તુ તુટ્યાનું કહ્યું, નુસરતને હતું કે વઢ પડશે પણ એની મમ્મીએ સાચુ બોલ્યાની શાબાશી આપી.

આવો જ કિસ્સો અખલાકનો થયો. એને પડીકી ખાવાની ટેવ પડી ગયેલી. ક્લાસમાં સાચી ખોટી પસંદગી વિષય ભણાવવામાં આવે. એનાથી એણે પડીકી છોડી ને ક્લાસમાં આવીને પડીકી સાચી પસંદગી નહોતી એ કહ્યું. તમન્નાની આદત વાત ને વધારીને કહેવાની એનાથી ઘરમાં એક વખત મોટો ઝઘડો થયો. એને એની ભૂલ સમજાઈ ને એણે એ આદતન છોડી. કેટલાકે મકડી ફીલ્મ ક્લાસમાં જોઈને ભૂતની બીક ભાંગ્યાનું પણ કહ્યું..
બાળકોના મોંઢે આ બધી વાતો સાંભળી ગાંધીજી હંમેશા કેળવણી પર ભાર આપતાનું યાદ આપ્યું. અમે કેળવણી પર ધ્યાન આપીયે. ભણવાનું તો બાળકો કરી લેશે. ડોક્ટર એન્જીનીયર બની જશે પણ એ દેશના સારા નાગરિક નહીં બને તો એ ભણતર કશા કામનું નહીં. માટે KRSF લાઈફ ક્લાસ પર ઘણો ભાર આપે..
હાલમાં સંસ્થા દ્વારા 50,000 બાળકોને ભણાવાઈ રહ્યા છે. જેનો રાજીપો છે ને ઈચ્છા અનેક બાળકો સુધી પહોંચવાની છે..
